Friday, October 4, Day Trip Casa Ilaria Farm The chance to spend the day in the Tuscan countryside, to help disadvantaged people grow fruit and vegetables on their community farm before sitting down to a home-grown måltid with them and other locals. Through talks, workshops and the possibility to work on the Community Farm, Terra Firma aims to facilitate a deeper appreciation of this special place, to more fully enjoy it and to use it as a mirror reflecting wider issues in the world.
Speak to Nick and Federico if you like the idea of getting involved by working in the vegetable garden alongside professional gardeners who know what they are doing. The day will end with an explanation as to how the harvested olives are pressed to release their liquid gold and the chance to taste a range of very different olive oils from across Italy.
